Prayer to the Lord Who Chooses Us

Lord Who Chooses,

I am grateful that I am valued and valuable to You, that You have chosen me, that You have called me to be a part of the “royal priesthood” of all believers. I am Your special possession. I declare Your praises today.

 You have brought me out of darkness…and replaced that with Your “wonderful light”. I pray now for a person who is still living in, struggling with darkness—[insert their name here]—that You would shine the light of Your bright holiness upon them and call them closer to Yourself today. May they and I know deeply that we are “treasured” by You.

 Encourage my heart. Unite me in love with my believing sisters and brothers. Give us “the full riches of complete understanding” that we may know Jesus. Grant us Your wisdom and Your knowledge.

 Remind me that my body is Your temple—that of Your Spirit Who lives in me. I recall the price that was paid to purchase my freedom—the death of Your Son, Jesus. I choose today to honor You with my whole self.

 I praise You that You have blessed me with “every spiritual blessing” in Jesus. Every. Spiritual. Blessing.  I am humbled by Your “glorious grace” “freely given” to me through Christ.

 Basking in Your everlasting love that continues to draw me to You,

Amen.
