Faith and Work Principles
In reviewing some of my past Faith and Work teaching notes, I ran across this list of principles that still hold true for me, and I hope for you and others as we seek to live as Christ would wherever He has placed us in this world:
Earn the right to be heard by doing excellent work.
Be enthusiastic.
Have integrity.
Love others…work to build relationships.
Take risks to resolve conflict: Be a messenger of grace and reconciliation.
Use your influence where you can.
Guard your tongue.
Express appreciation and encourage others.
Be consistent.
Apologize.
Listen…pay attention.
Work in such a way that people are attracted to God.
Attempt to live a balanced life.
A tale as old as time. Still relevant. Lead and influence with humility and persistence. Work as unto the Lord, for it is Jesus Himself you are serving.
