Your Unique Design Course: Resources Available

As you contemplate how to equip your congregation and/or those in your ministry arena, helping each person understand their unique value, find their identity in Jesus, and discover and utilize their God-given spiritual gifts is essential. An excellent way to do these things is to take everyone through a two-part class that engages them with the Biblical foundations for calling, purpose, service, spiritual gifts, and the church as the Body of Christ.

Each person on your teaching/facilitation team for the class will need a copy of the Your Unique Design Facilitator Guide, laid out in easy-to-read and deliver script format. With little preparation, anyone can teach these subjects from the Facilitator Guide. [That said, each facilitator should spend ample time reading FAQs about gifts to get fluent—see below for those resources—available FREE).

Each person participating in these classes will need their own copy of the Your Unique Design Class Guide. Access to the corresponding online spiritual gifts assessment is FREE to all. [The spiritual gifts assessment is also printed in each Class Guide, so, if online access is a challenge for some, that paper version is an option.]

The two Your Unique Design class sessions are designed to be very interactive, rooted in Scripture, and offer opportunities for individual practical application. Each session runs approximately 1 hour, 30 minutes, but can be modified by the teaching team to be longer or shorter, depending on your window of time.

For those wanting more—to go deeper into what the Bible says about call, purpose, gifts, unity, the church, and whole-life ministry, consider offering the six-week God. Gifts. You.: Your Unique Calling and Design workbook study to those who have “graduated” from the two-part Your Unique Design classes and/or to your small group ministry, women’s ministry, men’s ministry, etc. The workbook involves five days of homework per session, session leader guides (with discussion questions pertaining to each week’s topic), and videos for each of the weeks (accessed online by passwords in each workbook).

For additional study guides, articles, spiritual gifts definitions, equipping prayer guides, and church health assessments, check out the FREE Resources page of GodGiftsYou.com. As you look to get people more meaningfully connected to serving opportunities and seek to determine how to implement this spiritual gifts discovery process at your church, the Resources page has essential step-by-step information that has been proven to be effective.

Beyond that, there are literally hundreds of blog postings on the Gifts-Calling-Purpose blog. Topics for these articles include Frequently Asked Questions about spiritual gifts, extensive descriptions and definitions of each gift, Right Use of Power in the Church, individual studies of many individuals in Scripture—focusing on their gifts-call-passion-purpose-ministry, etc.
