Pray that all use of gifts would flow from ABIDING. Abiding in Christ. Day. By. Day. Moment. By. Moment. That Jesus will do the refilling and refreshing and renewing we need. May we trust that just as He did for Elijah, God will care for and provide for us while we take needed rest. May we trust the Lord to help us set necessary boundaries. May we seek the Lord for the where and with/to whom we are to be ministering…without taking on more out of our own need to be needed. May we use our God-given discernment and that of trusted advisors to guide our commitments. May we know and experience JOY as we discover, develop, and use our gifts at [insert church name here]!
Pray for all at [insert church name here] in this season to
Slow down.
Look and listen for the Lord…for where God is at work in, through, and around you.
Seek to join Him in His work in ways that are consistent with how He has gifted you to serve and how He has designed your heart to beat.
Make a commitment to discover, develop, and use your spiritual gifts—for His glory and for the betterment of His Body—the church, as well as to bring hope and peace to a needy world.
Pray that all leaders at [insert church name here] would carve out time to check in with people and teams serving in their ministries, help people find healthy rhythms of service—not out of obligation but to encourage flourishing and promote resilience. If there is a disconnect between service and thriving, pray that leaders would prayerfully consider changing their ministry priorities to join the Lord where He is currently active.
Pray that all staff and ministry leaders at [insert church name here] are pausing long enough to see if people serving in their ministries are actually too busy/overcommitted. Pray that leaders would be willing to generously give people the opportunity to quit something in this season. Pray that leaders are intentional about offering life-giving opportunities instead of just “warm body” invitations that don’t feed people’s souls nor use their God-given gifts effectively. Pray that staff and ministry leaders take time to slow down and be present…and help others slow down and be present…in order to actually can hear what God is saying to them.
