Spiritual Gifts FAQs #14

Q: Do you have a blank spiritual gifts tracking template we can use, especially logging the date and top 3 gifts each person has at the time they took their s.g. test, and possibly when they retake the test again?

A: Individuals and groups using the God. Gifts. You.: Your Unique Calling and Design workbook have their initial results recorded on pages 45-46. If the group is revisiting the study/assessment at a later date, each person can refer back to that information to do a direct comparison. In addition, each time someone takes the GodGiftsYou.com assessment, they receive an email containing their results. If they don’t delete that email, they should be able to find it again for comparative reference by searching their Inbox for “God Gifts You spiritual gifts survey results”.

Another way that I and others have captured this information for groups is by using a Google Sheet or Excel spreadsheet or similar. The Google option is great if you want to be able to share it with others and allow them to update their own information. Someone with the gift of Administration would be perfect for taking this on—and keeping it up-to-date.

Our church uses the ShelbyNext database—where spiritual gifts information is captured. At any given time, I (or other staff/ministry leaders) can look up an individual’s previous results—and update that with new gifts information. There are similar church databases that do the same thing. You might check with your church to see if/where/how they are gathering this sort of information and how it is accessed.
