Spiritual Gifts FAQ’s #4
Q. Where do Scriptures talk about spiritual gifts?
A. We see spiritual gifts referred to in both the Old and New Testaments. However, the primary passages from which we get our understanding of God’s design for the church and our use of gifts are:
· Romans 12
· 1 Corinthians 12-14
· Ephesians 4
· 1 Peter 4
Additionally, we are told in 1 Timothy 4:14 not to neglect our gifts. 1 Corinthians 12:1 says for us to be informed about gifts. Both 1 Peter 4:10 and Matthew 25:14-30 remind us that we are stewards of what God has given us and are expected to use our gifts well and wisely.
